All fittings included — we supply whatever is needed to go from your 1/2" gas line to the light itself. No surprise parts run.
Placement guidance — if you're working with a designer, we follow their plan. If you're not, we'll recommend placement based on what we've seen work on hundreds of Houston homes: mounting height, spacing, sight lines from the street.

Converting an Electric Lamp Post to Gas

This is one of our most common requests: the house has an electric coach light or lamp post, and the owner wants a real flame. We do these conversions regularly — and gas-to-electric when someone wants to go the other way.

For an electric-to-gas conversion to work well, two things matter:

Proper ventilation. A gas flame needs airflow the fixture was designed for. Not every electric fixture can be converted — we'll tell you up front whether yours is a candidate or whether a purpose-built gas lantern is the better move.
The right line material. We recommend copper for the gas supply to the light. Stainless steel or aluminum can work, but they won't last as long — the combination of burner temperatures and Houston weather exposure wears them out faster. Copper is the material we see still working decades later.

If your fixture can't be converted, we'll quote a new gas lantern instead — often for less than homeowners expect, since the gas line work is the same either way.

How Long Does Installation Take?

Lead time is usually about a week from quote approval, depending on the season. Winter runs longer — fireplace season keeps our schedule full from October through January — so if you want lanterns burning for the holidays, get on the schedule in early fall.

The installation itself is typically done in a single visit.
